Privacy and location

Precise location is private by default. Emergency sharing and storm breadcrumb tracking require distinct, explicit actions.

Public website

Location search and “use my location” are used to request relevant weather. The browser controls permission. ENID does not silently publish your coordinates.

Storm operations

Breadcrumb tracking is off until an authorized chaser opts in for a named session. Offline observations stay on that device until the user starts an authenticated sync. Session records are role-restricted and audited.

Emergency tools

The location message is created on the device and shared only after a second user action. Opening the dialer does not place a call.

Operational data

Security and audit logs minimize sensitive values. Provider credentials, authorization headers, passwords, API keys, and tokens are redacted and never returned by public endpoints.

Your controls

Revoke location permission in browser or Android settings, stop an active storm session, clear locally queued field records, and contact support for account or retained-session requests.
